How Many Times A Week?
We often get asked "how many times a week should I come to class?".
Well, there really is no right answer. It depends on your personal goals, but the most important thing is to be consistent.
For some, this may be coming 3x a week, but for others, realistically only 1-2x a week will work. Once your consistency starts to slow down, it's really hard to stay on track.
Keep in mind, the more you come, the quicker you’ll see results such as improvement in strength, flexibility and mobility. 2 or more times a week will help you see gains and get you to your goals much faster than just 1x a week.
Here are some tips to help with consistency and motivation:
Bring a friend. It's fun to workout with a buddy right next to you. You can give kudos to them or you can laugh at them!
A 50 minute class is only about 3.5% of your entire day. Think how much time you spend on your phone. Less than 4% of your day can be spent on your longevity!
Perfection is not necessary. Showing up for class and giving your everything for half of the class versus not showing up at all is better than nothing.
Schedule your classes and commit to them just as your would for a doctor or hair appointment. Make your workouts a priority.
Morning workouts can set the tone for your day.
Progress is a process, so stay patient. Self-discipline is hard. But the rewards? Priceless. Your physical and mental well-being will bring you strength for a long and fulfilling independent life.
