5 Reasons Fun-Filled Play Improves the Adult Day

We all seem to get how important playing is for kids. They need to let their minds wander, have free time, and explore their imaginations and social connections. But the truth is, playing is super important for adults, too!

If getting down on the floor and building LEGO is not your thing, we totally get it. Grown ups don’t have to play like kids to reap the rewards that playful activities bring to our daily lives. There are plenty of ways adults can engage in play that don’t require dressing up in costumes or waving magic wands. 🤗

Have you gathered around a game of Scrabble or Canasta with your friends lately? What about playing Wordle or hitting the tennis ball back and forth with a partner? Dancing around the kitchen or sitting down to work on a puzzle more your speed?

All of these are ways that we as adults engage in play. And turns out, it is way more than just fun. When we play as adults, we stand to receive benefits to our lives long after the fun is done.

Playing helps adults:

🤸Relieve stress and boost mood

🤸Increase confidence

🤸Connect with others

🤸Unleash creativity

🤸Improve brain function

Sessions at your favorite studio are a great way to insert some play into your day, too. Come have fun at the studio and you’ll get all of the rewards of play that will keep you feeling your best. (Not to mention that Pilates classes provide you with the tools to get on and off the floor to build LEGOs with your grandchildren!)
